Floating Cities
The Floating Cities are suspended wooden sculptures. They are completely handmade, by myself. The finish is gold, silver or copper leaf. Lights makes them useful for lighting as lamps or chandeliers. Shades of color increase the suspension effect. Each Floating City is entirely built with my hands, for this reason it is possible to design and make them in variable sizes and colours, and it is also possible to choose between gold, silver or copper leaf. Silent lamps are completely made of wood. Every lamp is hand made by Umberto Dattola simply rolling and carving sheets of popolar wood. Every piece is unique, signed and numbered. Measure: H 190 cm light: spherical energy saving led lamp 40W/120W. Materials: Sheets of poplar plywood, and solid lemon tree. Finishing: natural oil.
